Belvedere proudly ends the 2023 year having met all standards at our re-accreditation Audit. The feedback received about our staff is that:
“you have hearts of gold” and “provide life-changing programs and activities”.
Families expressed their appreciation of our staff’s delivery of care saying,
“your work means so much to the lives of our residents and relatives.”
2023 was indeed the year of change for our industry. Strengthened governance, the establishment of Consumer Advisory Boards, Provider Reports Quality Indicators, Care Minutes, Fair Work Value Case, new Aged Care and new Quality Standards are all new features of our industry that we will continue to work on and embrace into 2024.
STAFF EDUCATION & TRAINING
We continue our commitment to equip staff with the training and education they require to upskill and embrace these reforms. In 2024, we’ll have more Team Leaders undertake the OHS Course; work with Dementia Australia to provide our Team Leaders and Staff the initial 6 week Dementia Leadership Training and then expand on this to provide further training to our in-house Dementia Leaders. Further, we’re engaging with PEPA Aged Care to undertake training with our Team.
BELVEDERE FACILITY RENOVATIONS
In 2023 we achieved kitchen renovations, admin and staff room upgrades, IT and communication upgrades. As part of ongoing improvement to the facility, equipment upgrade such as beds, bedroom furniture will be completed across 2024.
This will be an exciting year as we look forward to completing the two dining rooms, lifestyle room, the nurses station and reception and communal flooring.
IPC UPDATE
We are no longer requiring QR Codes and Attestation prior to entry to the facility. We ask that you please remain vigilant as Victoria is experiencing a wave of COVID19 and Influenza and Gastroenteritis cases are on the rise.
Belvedere is committed to placing the safety of our residents and staff as a priority. We will continue to:
- RAT Test before entry.
- Surgical Masks will remain in place
- Temperature Checks on entry
