Celebrating a Lifetime of Love: Wedding Anniversaries at Belvedere Aged Care

“I saw her and was smitten. But then war broke out and I was not able to see Lucia to tell her my intentions for another 3 years. When I was able to go home, I lost no time to go to her house and ask her whether she would marry me..” Dalmazio recounts as they celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary on 6th January 2025 (pictured). “I consider myself and Lucia as very blessed by God to have such a long, happy marriage. Part of it maybe is that we have a strong spiritual integrity.”

On 24 December 2024, Don and Christine celebrated their 61^st wedding anniversary with a serenade from songstress Christine. Christine and Don share a love of music and have performed worldwide together. Aided by our Lifestyle team, it was a wonderful to ensure Christine could sing to Don and also kick off our Christmas Eve amongst our residents, staff and their loved ones.
