Two Audits in a Week with Perfect Scores! Congratulations to Chef Raj and the Catering Team for this remarkable result. Tuesday 16th of May 2015 was the Annual Food Safety Audit and a day later, the Council popped in for a Spot Check and the result and commentary was amazing. Chef Raj has been at Belvedere now for three months and has turned the Catering Service around. Our residents enjoy the variety of beautiful flavours prepared and the new dishes, crockery and platters heightening the experience.

The Autumn / Winter Menu is in effect and again the feedback positive. Our residents enjoy being part of the process with the regular Food Focus Meetings held to discuss their preferences, concerns and complaints taken into consideration. Residents have an input into all menus at Belvedere, with menus discussed before implementation. Our residents and relatives have also been invited to tour the kitchen. Chef Raj has significantly improved the kitchen making it spacious, sparkling and inviting. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and it is certainly the heart of Belvedere. All residents, staff and visitors comment on the aromas when walking past the kitchen.  You will never guess that 420 plates a day are created in such a calm and organised manner with plenty of time to interact with our residents, staff and families.

The four-week rotating menu at Belvedere offers choices at each Meal Service. Residents have a choice of a hot breakfast and a continental breakfast. Residents can choose from five meal choices for both the lunch and the three-course evening meal. Choices are also offered for Dessert at each meal service.  Morning Tea and Afternoon Tea offers a selection of homemade baked items, fresh fruit platters and cheese platters.

Belvedere celebrates and embraces multicultural cuisine and provides on the menu favourites such Chicken Marsala, Honey and Soy Chicken, Eggplant Parmagiana, Falafels to list a few. We have also traditional Roasts, Stews, Casseroles, Lamb Shanks, Fish and Chips and Home-made Pastries to suit all tastes. Our residents do have a preference for Italian flavours, and our menu is filled with items such as Risottos, Pizzas, Cannelloni, Pastas, Bruschettas and Antipasto Platters. All meals are prepared on site and only the freshest produce delivered daily is used in preparation.
