Understanding the value of inclusive Resident and Representative Meetings

At Belvedere Aged Care, we are committed to fostering open and transparent communication between our residents, their families, and our staff. Our Resident and Representative Meetings serve as a vital platform to share updates, discuss important topics, and strengthen the sense of community among residents, families, staff, and management.

These quartley meetings provide a structured opportunity for residents and their representatives to receive updates on operational matters, including staff changes, policy and procedural modifications, upcoming events, and the impact and implementation of Aged Care Commission news.

Keeping our residents and their representatives informed through multiple modes of communication is our key priority. Understanding that resident representatives lead busy lives, we offer multiple ways to connect: in-person or online Next-Of-Kin (NOK) meetings, a monthly eNews bulletin, and our social media channels to communicate our latest updates.

Additionally, we share insights from our Residents’ Meetings and Food Focus Meetings—regular gatherings that allow residents to express their views on menu options and meal services with our Chef and hospitality team. By incorporating their feedback, we continuously refine our food and dining experiences to enhance resident satisfaction and well-being.

Resident and Representative Meetings also offer a forum for the Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) to engage directly with residents and families. CAB provides valuable insights, feedback, and suggestions to Belvedere’s Executive team to improve the overall quality of care and services provided at Belvedere.

By fostering a collaborative environment, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive community where everyone feels heard and valued.
