Video Conferencing and Telehealth Services Available for residents

During this period of restricted access and self-isolation, Belvedere will assist residents and families to maintain communications using the Zoom platform for video conferencing or FaceTime available on smartphones.

You must call Belvedere to arrange a time to chat with your loved ones. This allows us to ensure we have staff ready to assist your loved ones with their call.

Once this a time has been booked, a Belvedere staff member will send you a Zoom meeting invitation via email. As a participant, you do not need a Zoom account. Simply click the meeting invitation link emailed to you and ensure you have your camera switched on on your laptop or smartphone.

Zoom has helpful instructional videos to help you learn how to join a meeting.

Telehealth

Belvedere now utilises telehealth for residents with our GPs and health professionals. Telehealth consultations are in place, where possible, to limit face-to-face consultations between our residents, doctors and health professionals. As our facility remains in restricted access/lockdown, our GP’s and other health professionals are working very closely with our nursing staff to ensure that our residents receive the best treatment and medical care remotely. Belvedere has appropriate video conferencing functions to assist with telehealth consultations.

In the case that a GP or health professional must have a face-to-face consultation with a resident, we are taking every safety precaution possible to protect our residents.

For more information about the use of Telehealth at Belvedere Aged Care, contact the Director of Nursing on 03 9574 1355.
